Diagnostic Imaging (DI) is an interdisciplinary team that provides peoplecentered care with an emphasis on working together. As a DI MRT I, you will have the unique opportunity of working together with a team of high preforming Technologists, Radiologist and other hospital departments supporting established workflows managing inpatient, long term care patient, outpatient, and Emergency patient examinations. This is done in an effective, efficient, and safe manner. As a member of the Diagnostic Imaging team, this position is responsible for working all shifts and on call, as assigned. This position will rotate through General Radiography and the CT department. As well, this position is responsible for all General radiography and potentially urgent CT exams during evenings, weekends, and possibly nights. When scheduled in a full CT shift, this position will be paid acting incumbent to a MRT II level according to the collective agreement.

Description:

As a Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) I, you will perform a variety of standard technical radiological imaging examinations on patients for the purpose of disease and pathology diagnosis. You will interpret physician requisitions, prepare and assess patients for examination and produce high quality diagnostic images for Physician/Radiologist review, and assist with the care and maintenance of equipment. Your work may include a variety of procedures such as general and portable radiography, mobile and surgical suite examinations, as well as fluoroscopy where required.
