We are seeking a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) for a 12-month contract position in Alberta, Ontario, or Quebec. The MSL will build and maintain professional relationships with the healthcare community, providing education on disease states and treatment options to improve patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
Establish and maintain relationships with key thought leaders and healthcare organizations
Provide accurate scientific information to support company strategies
Represent the company at scientific meetings and congresses
Collaborate with Medical Advisor on symposia and speaker's bureau
Identify advocates for clinical trials and symposium participation
Follow up on research proposals and publication opportunities
Assist in training sales and business personnel
Develop territory routing to support medical information needs
Maintain budgetary control of medical expenses
Complete administrative responsibilities in accordance with regulations
Knowledge
Understanding of regulatory requirements and scientific presentation techniques
Knowledge of pharmacology, pharmaceutical principles, and statistical analysis
Requirements
Doctoral degree required (MD, PharmD, or PhD), MS
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in Medical Affairs
Previous experience in pharmaceutical or start-up organizations
Ability to deliver clear oral and written communications
Strong organizational and self-motivational skills
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (75%)
