Description:

Quantum is seeking a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to join their team in a field-based role, primarily located in Alberta, Ontario, or Quebec. The position involves extensive travel and is a 12-month contract with potential for extension. The MSL will serve as a scientific expert, fostering relationships with healthcare professionals, sharing clinical knowledge, and supporting research initiatives without involvement in sales.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Meet with healthcare professionals to discuss treatments, diseases, and research findings
  • Provide accurate scientific information to enhance clinical understanding
  • Represent the organization at conferences and professional meetings
  • Identify and support doctors and researchers for clinical trials and educational programs
  • Train internal teams on medical and scientific information
  • Report insights and feedback from the field to internal teams
  • Independently manage territory plans and medical-related projects

    • Skills & Qualities:

  • Excellent scientific communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to simplify complex scientific concepts
  • Strong relationship-building and influencing abilities
  • Highly organized and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working independently
  • Flexible and willing to travel extensively

    • Qualifications:

  • Doctoral degree (PhD, MD, or PharmD preferred; MSc considered)
  • 2+ years of experience in research, clinical practice, or medical affairs
  • Previous experience as an MSL or in medical affairs is advantageous
  • Background in pharmaceuticals, biotech, or field-based work is a plus
