Located in Campbell River, BC, the Campbell River Mental Health & Addiction Services (CRMHAS) is seeking a Mental Health & Addiction Rehabilitation Worker to join their team. The role involves providing support to clients with mental health, addiction, behavioral, and developmental issues to help them live successfully in the community. Responsibilities include offering life skills coaching, advice, and support services, facilitating employment opportunities, and providing vocational and job skills training.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Diploma in Community Social Services or a related health program

Two years of recent, related experience

Post-basic education in mental illness and addiction

Knowledge of relevant legislation

Understanding of available programs and the local labor market

Current Level "C" Basic Life Saving Certificate and Food Safe certificate

Valid BC Driver's License

Skills And Abilities:

Effective communication skills

Ability to establish rapport with clients

Strong problem-solving skills

Capacity to teach life skills

Sound judgment and observation skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Physical ability to carry out job duties

Proficiency in operating related equipment, including computers
