CASA Classrooms: Join a team that operates within community schools, offering individual and group therapy, psychiatric care, medication management, and schooling tailored to each student's needs. This program is a new model for school-based mental health services delivered in partnership with the Government of Alberta, community partners, and school divisions.

Job Details:

  • Wage range: $44.03 to $56.50 + an additional $9 per hour CASA Classrooms premium
  • Vacation: ~13 days per year
  • Shift structure: Monday to Friday, 7.25 hours per day
  • Primary location: Edmonton
  • Union: In-Scope
  • Classification: Mental Health Therapist
  • FTE: 1.0 for the duration of the school year
  • Status: Temporary until June 2027

About the Role: The Mental Health Therapist collaborates with a multi-disciplinary team to provide clinical services, treatment planning, and interventions for children and youth. They adhere to ethical standards, practice evidence-informed care, and nurture relationships with community partners.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Master's degree in psychology, social work, or occupational therapy
  • Active registration with relevant professional bodies
  • Minimum of two years of clinical practice in child and family mental health
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license

Conditions of Employment:

  • Criminal Records Check with Vulnerable Sector Search and Child Intervention Check
  • Ability to pass and maintain Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) certification
