Adecco is currently hiring a full-time Micro Lab Technician to join our client's manufacturing team in Belleville, ON. Our client, Ya YA Foods, specializes in liquid foods and unique beverage products. In this role, you will be responsible for performing microbiological and aseptic testing to ensure quality and safety standards are met. This position supports the Quality Control department by maintaining accurate documentation, performing laboratory procedures, and ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
Responsibilities:
Perform aseptic sampling and microbiological analysis on packaging materials, raw ingredients, and finished products.
Conduct pH testing of finished products for commercial sterility verification.
Carry out environmental monitoring activities according to defined schedules and SOPs.
Maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment.
Prepare culture media, reagents, and materials for microbial testing.
Record test results promptly and accurately following Good Documentation Practices.
Assist in inventory control and communicate any quality risks to supervisors.
Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Post-secondary education in Microbiology or a related scientific field.
1-3 years of Quality Control experience in food or beverage manufacturing.
Ability to lift up to 10 kg and perform repetitive lifting tasks.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic computer applications.
Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.
