About the MLS Laboratory Technologist Role:
Under the direction of the Associate Dean, Clinical Laboratory & Regulatory Sciences the Medical Laboratory Sciences (MLS) Laboratory Technologist performs duties associated with the operation of the MLS laboratories.
- Prepare and provide the appropriate materials for MLA and MLT laboratories including, biological specimens, reagents, solutions, laboratory tools, laboratory equipment, and any other materials associated with executing the laboratories for these programs
- Assist in monitoring laboratory safety and performing instrument/equipment maintenance
- Ensure all laboratory spaces are kept neat and clean
- Responsible for the set up and breakdown of daily laboratories, coordinate practical test schedules, administer inventory control, provide feedback on equipment maintenance, and maintain records of laboratory usage
- With the collaboration, guidance and support of the Lab Facilitator, support student learning, safety, and engagement within the laboratory space

Education
- Advanced Diploma in Medical Laboratory Sciences or Medical Laboratory Technology and registered in good standing with the CMLTO
Experience and Skills
- Minimum 3 years of experience Working in a Medical laboratory (Core, Micro, Histro, Tranfusion etc)
