Located in Ottawa, CHEO is a global leader in pediatric health, providing care to over 500,000 children and youth annually. They are currently seeking a Permanent Part-Time MRI Specialty Technologist to join their Medical Imaging team. The successful candidate will work with the MR team and be responsible for providing exceptional patient care in various clinical cases, such as neuro, musculoskeletal, abdominal, and cardiac imaging. Responsibilities include liaising with other medical professionals, performing scans, ensuring magnet safety, maintaining accurate records, troubleshooting equipment, staying updated on medical imaging trends, participating in teaching, and other duties as required.

  • Qualifications:

  • Criminal Record Check (CRC) (Essential)
  • 3 years pediatric radiography experience (Preferred)
  • CMRITO current registration (Essential)
  • Completion of a post diploma in MR or recognized equivalent with MRI Certification or completion within 6 months of hire (Essential)
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification (Essential)
  • Computer literacy (Essential)
  • Effective time management skills; ability to organize work and set priorities (Essential)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (Essential)
  • Ability to work effectively as a team member and autonomously (Essential)
  • Available to work on call/stand by/weekend/holidays as required (Essential)
  • Bilingual (English/French) (Preferred)
