Description:

We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing magnetic resonance imaging procedures to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. This role requires a strong understanding of medical imaging techniques, excellent patient care skills, and adherence to safety protocols. The MRI Technologist will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality imaging services in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Duties

  • Prepare patients for MRI scans by explaining procedures and ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Operate MRI equipment to capture detailed images of patients' internal structures.
  • Ensure all imaging procedures comply with safety standards and protocols.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and imaging data in accordance with healthcare regulations.
  • Assist in the positioning of patients to obtain optimal images.
  • Monitor patients during procedures for any adverse reactions or discomfort.
  • Perform routine maintenance and calibration of MRI equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and physicians to review images and ensure diagnostic quality.
  • Qualifications

  • Certification as an MRI Technologist from an accredited program.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology is required; familiarity with advanced imaging techniques is a plus.
  • Proven experience operating MRI equipment in a clinical setting is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of patient care principles and safety procedures related to MRI procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills to explain procedures clearly and reassure patients.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of image quality and patient safety.
  • Job Type: Part-time

    Expected hours: 20 per week
