Description:

We are looking for a Registered Nurse to join our Health and Safety Department at the Meliadine Mine in Nunavut. The successful candidate will be responsible for employee injury management, liaising with the WSCC for injury case management, new hire assessments, and working with the Medical Director when necessary. This role requires ensuring that goals and objectives are met while upholding Agnico Eagle's culture, Health & Safety Code of Conduct, and environmental standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide care to workers who are injured or become ill at work;
Assess the severity of a medical emergency and determine appropriate treatment;
Perform medical examinations, audiograms, PFT tests, and administer vaccinations;
Manage WSCC/CNESST claims and support workers and contractors;
Ensure all medical equipment is inspected, certified, and ready for emergencies;
Support reporting activities in the medical field;
Provide recommendations for corrective actions related to accidents/incidents and conduct follow-up by tracking injuries on Intelex.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in nursing;
Qualified Registered Nurse in Nunavut;
3-4 years of experience as a Registered Nurse;
ACLS, ATLS, or TNCC Certificate, or equivalent;
Experience in a remote camp setting;
Experience in an Arctic environment is an asset;
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team;
Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, especially Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Your Work Schedule:
14 days of work followed by 14 days for transportation and rest;
Accommodations and meals provided on-site at no cost;

Travel expenses covered based on your location of residence in Canada.
