This job posting is for a Nurse II position with Prairie Mountain Health sites in Manitoba. The Nurse II will provide comprehensive nursing care to patients/residents/clients in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. The role requires active practicing licensure with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba or eligibility, along with current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Training.
Qualifications:
Active practicing licensure with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba or eligible for active practicing licensure
One year equivalent full-time experience in acute care as a Registered Nurse within the last three years
Knowledge, competence, and ability to demonstrate clinical nursing skills
Effective decision-making skills regarding nursing care
Basic knowledge and skills to work with computers and electronic software programs
Effective problem-solving and organizational skills
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Ability to maintain positive working relationships with co-workers and clients
Satisfactory employment record required
Responsibilities:
Practice in accordance with the Regulated Health Professions Act or the Registered Psychiatric Nurse Act of Manitoba
Adhere to the Standards of Practice set by the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba or the College of Psychiatric Nurses of Manitoba
Maintain entry-level competencies for RNs or RPNs
Follow the Professional Code of Ethics
Obtain and maintain relevant competencies for the position offered by PMH
