Description:

McCain Foods is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to provide advanced primary and specialty nursing care to employees and family members at the Florenceville Campus in New Brunswick. The NP will also develop programs to enhance the well-being of McCain employees. This full-time position requires working Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm at the McCain Corporate Headquarters.

Key Responsibilities:

Autonomously diagnose and treat illnesses

Order and interpret tests

Prescribe medication

Perform medical procedures

Manage comprehensive health care at the McCain Health Clinic

Lead education programs on holistic care

Develop and implement education and awareness programs

Collaborate with cross-functional teams

Seek to improve workflows and empower staff

Qualifications:

Master's degree in nursing and valid Nurse Practitioner certificate

Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited university

Current registration with the Nurses Association of New Brunswick

Extensive experience in patient assessment

Current CPR and First Aid certification

Minimum 5 years of RN/NP experience

Effective organizational and communication skills

Demonstrated coaching and mentoring abilities

McCain Foods offers a competitive compensation package ranging from $97,500 to $130,000 CAD annually, along with bonus eligibility. What you'll need to be successful.

Completion of master's in nursing degree and valid certificate as a Nurse Practitioner, preferably in the Primary Health Care focus

Completion of a recognized undergraduate Bachelor of Science in Nursing program, by an accredited University
 Current registration &amp; good standing with the Nurses Association of New Brunswick (NANB) as an RN(CD)
 Membership in Nurses Association of New Brunswick organizations relevant to the role
 Current professional liability insurance through the Canadian Nurses Protective Society (CNPS)
 Extensive experience in assessment of patients in emergency situations
 Knowledge of the use of a defibrillator
 Current health care provider level CPR and First Aid Certificate
 Current Criminal Record Check
 Minimum 5 years RN / NP experience
 Ability to perform duties in a professional and courteous manner and produce high quality work
 Exercise initiative and good judgment
 Compliance with confidentiality requirements
 Effective organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
 Demonstrated coaching, mentoring skills as well as superior presentation and consultative skills
