As a Nurse Practitioner (NP) at the Cross Cancer Institute, you will provide comprehensive health services to individuals of all ages. Your responsibilities will include assessing, diagnosing, ordering and interpreting tests, prescribing treatment, and performing procedures to meet the health needs of patients. You will also utilize advanced nursing competencies to improve care quality, promote appropriate health service use, and influence healthcare systems. This position is unionized and represented by the Alberta Union of Nurse Practitioners (AUNP).
Key Responsibilities:
Successful completion of an approved Nurse Practitioner program with a minimum of a Master's degree
Active registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA) as a Nurse Practitioner
Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification
3-5 years of clinical experience in oncology
Demonstrated leadership, organizational, time management, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively with various healthcare providers and independently with self-motivation
Qualifications:
Successful completion of an approved NP program at a minimum of a Master of Nursing level
Current registration with CRNA as a NP
Completion of controlled drugs and substances education, jurisprudence, and continuing competency requirements
Willingness to pursue additional education and certifications specific to oncology
