Description:

The Family Medicine Program at Sturgeon Community Hospital is seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care to individuals and families. The NP will assess, diagnose, order tests, prescribe treatment, and perform procedures to meet patient health needs. Advanced practice nursing competencies will be utilized to increase care quality and influence healthcare systems. This position is unionized and represented by the Alberta Union of Nurse Practitioners (AUNP).

Required Qualifications:

  • Successful completion of an approved Nurse Practitioner program, with a minimum of a Master's degree.
  • Active registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA) on the Nurse Practitioner Registrar, including Provisional Graduate Nurse Practitioner licensure.
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
