The Lifemark Physiotherapy Keefer Place is centrally located right at the heart of Downtown Vancouver, very close to the Skytrain station, one block from Rogers Arena and across the street from International Village, and Tinselwon Theatre, right on the second floor of the building, directly on top of T&T, serving the community since 1979. Our clinic treats complex orthopedics, injuries, chronic and persistent pain, specializing in providing physiotherapy, acupuncture, concussion and vestibular therapy, occupational therapy & counselling and other holistic nutrition services. Your impact
Provide comprehensive, evidence-based Occupational Therapy services to clients
Apply clinical expertise and professional competence in the assessment, intervention, consultation, case management, discharge planning, education, and follow-up of clients
Perform clinical evaluations, including admission assessments, ADL assessments, specialized seating and positioning assessments
Identification of appropriate equipment needs with initial recommendations
Consult with local vendors regarding equipment trials and complete applications/funding letters to the Ministry of Health, insurance agencies and other funding parties
Provide education on seating and positioning, independence with activities of daily living, wheelchairs and adaptive aids, as well as providing ongoing education to clients and family to improve function, independence and safety
Provide ongoing evaluation of restraint use, wound prevention, falls, and injury prevention
Record assessment and treatment interventions in the client's chart
Excel in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment
Exhibit sound professional judgment
Are you the right fit?
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge of current Occupational Therapy standards, modalities and scope of practice; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
Registered and in good standing with the College of Health and Care Professionals of British Columbia
2-7 years of experience as an Occupational Therapist with a focus on PCMP & CRP program is a plus
Newly licensed graduates are welcome to apply
Other Requirements:
Clinical experience is an asset in areas such as brain injury/neurological rehabilitation, mental health, musculoskeletal/orthopedic injury, home safety, ergonomics and/or return to work
Passion for your profession and commitment to ongoing professional development
Superior interpersonal relations, communication, problem-solving, time management, computer and documentation skills
Proficiency in computer skills
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as a member of a multidisciplinary team
