The ideal candidate will have strong clinical reasoning skills and a passion for discharge planning, supporting patients in achieving optimal recovery and successful reintegration into the community. Collaboration with allied health and other team members to deliver exceptional, patient-centered care is essential.

Qualifications

Registered with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario

Member of the Canadian Occupational Therapy Association or Ontario Society of Occupational Therapists preferred

Minimum 2 years of hospital experience

Experience working with oncology patient populations is an asset

Experience working with a variety of patient populations

Cognitive/perceptual assessment and treatment skills

AlphaFIM trained is preferred

Demonstrate knowledge and experience in cognitive assessments and cognitive remediation/compensatory strategies

Knowledge and experience in the use of outcome measures

Must be flexible and demonstrate an ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with all team members

Strong interpersonal, communication and leadership skills

Excellent organizational abilities with proven time management skills

Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position

Satisfactory employment and attendance record required
