This job posting is for an Occupational Therapist position at the Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The Occupational Therapist will work with clients to assess, intervene, plan services, and design programs to meet occupational performance goals, support healthy lifestyles, prevent illness and disability, and promote health. The successful candidate will collaborate with clients to provide quality care through professional development, research, quality improvement, and promotion of occupational therapy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with clients through assessment, interventions, and planning services.
  • Support healthy lifestyles, prevent illness and disability, and promote health.
  • Participate in continuing professional development and research.
  • Promote occupational therapy to ensure quality client care.
  • Qualifications:

  • Entry-to-practice academic credential in Occupational Therapy.
  • Registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of Manitoba.
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training.
  • Membership in relevant professional associations preferred.
  • Skills:

  • Competency in an Indigenous language and/or knowledge of Indigenous customs preferred.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based practice and healthcare concepts.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Physical Requirements:

  • Adequate strength, agility, and motor coordination.
  • Exposure to various environmental factors and potential stressors.
  • Ability to work extended hours and weekends.
