University Health Network (UHN) is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join the Cancer Rehab and Survivorship Program at Princess Margaret Hospital. This part-time temporary position involves delivering clinical programming and education related to cancer treatment rehabilitation. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting assessments, providing follow-up appointments, facilitating virtual classes, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications for this role include a Master of Science degree in Occupational Therapy, current registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario, and previous experience in an acute care hospital environment. Additional requirements include excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work independently and exercise sound clinical judgment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of new patients
  • Provide follow-up appointments based on patient needs
  • Facilitate virtual lymphedema classes
  • Monitor, stock, and order lymphedema supplies
  • Complete documentation in a timely manner
  • Support clinical research activities
  • Liaise with community partners and update lists
  • Teach learners/observers and liaise with the interdisciplinary team
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Qualifications:

  • Masters of Science degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario
  • Previous experience in an acute care hospital environment
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to exercise sound clinical judgment and work independently
  • Computer proficiency and compliance with relevant legislation and codes of ethics
