Description:

We're seeking an experienced occupational therapist to join our team in the Special Care Services department. As a clinical resource, you'll be part of an interdisciplinary case management team dedicated to providing high-quality services to severely injured workers, helping them achieve independence in self-care, vocational rehabilitation, and daily living activities.

At WorkSafeBC, we offer a hybrid work model combining remote work and office-based work.

Key Responsibilities:

Apply theoretical knowledge to assess, interpret, plan, and implement health care services for clients with physical or mental health conditions

Conduct onsite visits to injured workers, worksites, and external service providers

Provide clinical support during team meetings

Oversee complex physical or mental health claims

Collaborate with external stakeholders for stay-at-work programs and return to work planning

Deliver education sessions to internal and external audiences

Qualifications:

Independently prioritize and organize workload

Build and maintain relationships in an adversarial environment

Travel throughout the region and stay overnight

Educate, consult, and motivate others

Develop and present education sessions and programs

Requirements include a master's degree in Occupational Therapy, current registration with the College of Health and Care Professionals of British Columbia, and a minimum of six years of clinical OT experience. A valid B.C. driver's license is also necessary.

Before employment, candidates must meet legal requirements under the Criminal Records Review Act and confirm eligibility to work in Canada.

* This team provides services to injured workers throughout the province; you must be able to travel
* A valid B.C. driver's license
