Description:

We are seeking an experienced occupational therapist to join our team in the Special Care Services department at WorkSafeBC. As a clinical resource, you will be part of an interdisciplinary case management team dedicated to assisting severely injured workers in achieving independence in self-care, vocational rehabilitation, and daily living activities. The role involves providing compassionate support to individuals injured at work.

Key Responsibilities:

Apply theoretical knowledge to assess, interpret, plan, and implement health care services for clients with physical or mental health conditions

Conduct onsite visits to injured workers, worksites, and external service providers

Provide clinical support during team meetings

Oversee complex physical or mental health claims and monitor return to work plans

Collaborate with external stakeholders for stay-at-work programs and return to work planning

Deliver education sessions to internal and external audiences, including employers

Qualifications:

Independently prioritize and organize workload as part of an interdisciplinary team

Build and maintain cooperative relationships in challenging environments

Travel throughout the region and stay overnight

Educate, consult, and motivate others

Possess a master's degree in Occupational Therapy and current registration in British Columbia

Minimum six years of clinical OT experience in various areas

Hold a valid B.C. driver's license

 A minimum of six years of clinical OT experience in practical areas such as physical health, neurology, mental health, brain injury, amputation, or spinal cord injury
 This team provides services to injured workers throughout the province; you must be able to travel
 A valid B.C. driver's license
