Description:

We're seeking an experienced occupational therapist to join our team in the Special Care Services department. As a member of an interdisciplinary case management team, you'll assist severely injured workers in developing and maintaining independence in self-care, vocational rehabilitation, and daily living activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply theoretical knowledge to assess, interpret, plan, and implement health care services for clients with physical or mental health conditions
  • Conduct onsite visits to injured workers, worksites, and external service providers
  • Provide clinical support during team meetings
  • Oversee complex physical or mental health claims
  • Collaborate with external stakeholders for stay-at-work programs and return to work planning
  • Provide education sessions to internal and external audiences
  • Qualifications:

  • Prioritize, plan, and organize workload independently or as part of a team
  • Build and maintain cooperative relationships in an adversarial environment
  • Travel throughout the region and stay overnight
  • Educate, consult, and motivate others
  • Develop and present education sessions and programs
  • Background and Experience:

  • Master's degree in Occupational Therapy and current registration in British Columbia
  • Minimum of six years of clinical OT experience
  • Experience in areas such as physical health, neurology, mental health, brain injury, amputation, or spinal cord injury
  • Valid B.C. driver's license
