Description:

We are seeking an experienced occupational therapist to join our team in the Special Care Services department at WorkSafeBC. As a member of an interdisciplinary case management team, you will assist severely injured workers in developing and maintaining independence in self-care, vocational rehabilitation, and daily living activities.

Key Responsibilities:

Apply theoretical knowledge to assess, interpret, plan, and implement health care services for clients with physical or mental health conditions

Conduct onsite visits to injured workers, worksites, and external service providers

Provide clinical support during team meetings

Oversee complex physical or mental health claims

Collaborate with external stakeholders for stay-at-work programs and return to work planning

Provide education sessions to internal and external audiences

Qualifications:

Master's degree in Occupational Therapy and current registration in good standing with the College of Health and Care Professionals of British Columbia

Minimum of six years of clinical OT experience in areas such as physical health, neurology, mental health, brain injury, amputation, or spinal cord injury

Ability to travel throughout the region and stay overnight

Valid B.C. driver's license
