Description:
Assisted Living Alberta is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join the Home and Community Care (HCC) team to provide professional support services in clients' homes. The OT will administer assessments and interventions in various clinical areas to support clients' functional abilities and independence. By utilizing OT models and theories, the HCC OT collaborates with clients and families to determine, implement, and evaluate rehabilitation.
As an Occupational Therapist, you will provide evidence-informed services focused on occupational performance to meet the needs of individuals, groups, or communities. You will engage clients to enable meaningful occupations, support optimal functional abilities, and provide comprehensive services including assessment, treatment, education, and collaboration with stakeholders. You will also participate in interprofessional teams, contribute to quality improvement, and provide clinical supervision.

Required Qualifications:
- Completion of bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy
- Registered with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT)
- Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy
- Basic Cardiac Life Support- Healthcare Provider (BCLS HCP)
- Ability to work independently and in different settings
- Proficiency in computer programs including Microsoft Office
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous Continuing Care experience
- Palliative care experience
- AADL authorizer
- Experience with Connect Care and the RAI HC assessment tool
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
