An exciting opportunity exists to join the Occupational Therapy team based out of Red Deer Regional Hospital. As a casual relief Occupational Therapist, you will provide services in Acute Care, Outpatient Hands, and Outpatient Neurology, supported by the Allied Health Area Manager, Physiotherapy Clinical Leads, and Occupational Therapy Professional Practice Lead.

As an Occupational Therapist (OT), you will offer evidence-informed services focusing on occupational performance for individuals, groups, or communities. Your role may include direct service provision, consultation, education, advocacy, and collaboration within the healthcare team. You will assist individuals in achieving functional abilities and independence related to their strengths and limitations, encompassing cognitive, affective, spiritual, and physical aspects.

Your responsibilities will involve triage, screening, assessment, treatment, prevention, education, case management, referral, and collaboration with stakeholders in various environments. You will engage clients and families in care decisions and participate in interprofessional teams to enhance services and quality improvement. Additionally, you will contribute to professional development, mentorship, and supervision of students and support staff.
