The Occupational Therapist I (OT) services are primarily clinical in nature and require expertise in functional assessment and treatment, client-centered case management, and discharge planning. Treatment areas include orthopedics, acute care, stroke, post-op hands, lower extremity clinic, splinting, mental health, and cognitive assessments. The position involves consultations and collaboration with hospital staff and community agencies, as well as working closely with an interdisciplinary team, including supervising therapist assistant staff in hospital-based rehabilitation.

Required Qualifications:

Graduate of an Occupational Therapy program or recognized equivalent

Active registration with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT)

Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (Level C)

Additional Required Qualifications:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Demonstration of strong clinical reasoning
