As an Occupational Therapist II within the Edmonton Zone Allied Health Community department, you will lead the Pediatric Community Rehab Team, ensuring high-quality clinical services. You will collaborate with various stakeholders to support staff and maintain strong communication links. Responsibilities include identifying and addressing safety concerns, providing direct client care, and developing relationships with key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate occupational therapy and allied health services
Provide supervision and leadership to students and team members
Make clinical decisions on patient/family needs
Ensure evidence-based practice and compliance with regulations
Participate in program development and operational planning
Represent the department on committees or programs
Provide direct clinical services, consultation, education, and advocacy
Qualifications:
Master's degree or bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy
Active or eligible for registration with ACOT
CPR certification
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
Superior clinical judgement and critical thinking skills
Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. and stand for long periods
Preferred: 5 years of experience in Pediatric Occupational Therapy
