Description:

As an Occupational Therapist (OT) on our team, you will be responsible for developing programs to help individuals fully participate in daily activities. Your clients will include children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and individuals of all ages and needs.

Job type: Full-time, permanent

Schedule: Monday - Saturday (with 3 evening sessions/week till 7:30pm EST)

Work setting: Community and center-based. Daily travel within Durham and York region

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess client needs and family priorities as part of an interdisciplinary team
  • Complete assessments using standardized tests, criterion or curriculum referenced materials, or checklists
  • Develop and implement treatment plans based on assessment results
  • Consult with Behavior Analysts supervising Applied Behavior Analysis Programs
  • Maintain knowledge in evidence-based practices
  • Supervise students pursuing education in Occupational Therapy
  • Represent the OT department in Monarch House
  • Qualifications:

  • At least 1 year of experience working with children with ASD
  • Master's Degree in Occupational Therapist (OT)
  • Member of college (CAOT) or CAOT eligible
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Must possess a driver's license and access to a vehicle for daily use
  • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada
