The Amazon Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) team prioritizes the safety and well-being of employees, providing resources and safe environments to manage workforce health. Amazon is seeking an experienced Onsite Medical Representative (OMR) to join the team, working closely with WHS site managers and specialists. The OMR will assess and administer first aid, offer guidance on injuries, and support safety operations.

Basic Qualifications

High school diploma

CPR course completion

First aid, CPR, and AED certification

Knowledge of Microsoft Office

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with workers' compensation

Certification in first-aid, CPR, and AED teaching

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital recordkeeping

Experience in industrial wellness programs and OSHA regulations

To support these goals, Amazon is seeking an experienced and dynamic Onsite Medical Representative (OMR) to join our team. In this position, you will work closely with the WHS site manager, WHS specialist, and occasionally the Wellness Specialist (WS). This includes attending weekly associate safety committee meetings, greeting all new hires for the site or through daily oneonone interaction. Additionally, the OMR will participate in weekly case management review meetings as necessary.

As an OMR, you will independently assess and administer first aid as well as offer guidance to Amazon Associates (AAs) on both occupational and nonoccupational injuries or illnesses. You should be passionate about learning and advocating health and wellness principles to consistently support AAs on a daily basis. You will refer care to outside medical providers as needed, and learn about OSHA regulations, risk, and analysis.

The OMR will function as a part of the larger team onsite, assisting with all first aid needs and support safety operations as needed.

Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To

Provide first aid support and make referrals to outside medical providers as necessary.
 Minimize the AA risk of injury through awareness, education, and proactive engagement.
 Maintain all records of care provided to AAs.
 Coordinate and maintain the workers' compensation and return to work programs for AAs with workrelated injuries.
 Provide daily activity logs and end of shift reports.
 Engage with AAs and leadership on operations floor to provide coaching regarding observed atrisk work habits.
 Maintain a clean working environment and ensure appropriate medical supply inventory is maintained.
 Participate in training and certification to facilitate first aid, CPR and AED certifications classes.
 Maintain all first aid, CPR, AED credentials.
 Work flexible shifts which could include days, nights, holidays, and/or weekends.
 Assist with random saliva drug testing protocols.
 Maintain effective care delivery in emergencies and assist emergency response at the site.

Additional Job Elements Include

Lift up to 49 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.
 Stand/walk for up to 12 hours during shifts.
 Work in an environment where the noise level varies.
 Work in an environment that is subject to variable temperatures and weather (delivery stations include outside loading departments).

Basic Qualifications

High school or equivalent diploma
 CPR course
 Valid card evidencing successful completion of a first aid, CPR, and AED course from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross, or willingness to obtain it within four weeks of employment
 Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications
 Ontario:
 
 High School or equivalent diploma; AND
 
 Must have a valid card evidencing successful completion of standard first aid with CPR/AED level A or C from a Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) approved certifying authority; AND
 
 Must have one of the following:
 o Valid Provincial Primary Care Paramedic (PCP) Certification from the Ministry of Health AND/OR the Canadian Organization of Paramedic Regulators; OR
 o Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) from the Ministry of Health AND/OR the Provincial College of Nurses AND/OR Department of Health.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with workers' compensation
 Experience and certification in teaching firstaid, CPR and AED
 Preferred Qualifications:
 
 Job experience as a Military Medic (Canadian Armed Forces)
 
 Certified to teach first aid, CPR, and AED training from the Canadian Red Cross
 
 Proficient in Microsoft Office
 
 Experience with an industrial wellness program

The base salary range for this position is listed below. As a total compensation company, Amazon's package may include other elements such as signon payments and restricted stock units (RSUs).
