The Amazon Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) team is dedicated to ensuring the safety and well-being of employees. They are seeking an experienced Onsite Medical Representative (OMR) to join the team. The OMR will work closely with the WHS site manager, WHS specialist, and Wellness Specialist to provide first aid, guidance, and support to Amazon Associates.

As an OMR, responsibilities include assessing and administering first aid, offering guidance on injuries, referring care to medical providers, and participating in safety operations. The OMR will also maintain records, coordinate workers' compensation programs, and engage with associates to promote safe work habits.

Additional job elements involve physical requirements, including lifting, standing for long periods, and working in varying environments. The OMR must also be prepared to work flexible shifts, assist with drug testing, and respond to emergencies.

Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To

Maintain a clean working environment and appropriate medical supply inventory.

Participate in first aid, CPR, and AED certification classes.

Assist with random saliva drug testing.

Maintain effective care delivery in emergencies.

Stand/walk for up to 12 hours during shifts.

Work in varying environments with noise and temperature changes.

Basic Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.

CPR certification.

Valid first aid, CPR, and AED course completion card.

Knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Basic Qualifications

High school or equivalent diploma
 CPR course
 Valid card evidencing successful completion of a first aid, CPR, and AED course from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross, or willingness to obtain it within four weeks of employment
 Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications
 Ontario:
 
 High School or equivalent diploma; AND
 
 Must have a valid card evidencing successful completion of standard first aid with CPR/AED level A or C from a Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) approved certifying authority; AND
 
 Must have one of the following:
 o Valid Provincial Primary Care Paramedic (PCP) Certification from the Ministry of Health AND/OR the Canadian Organization of Paramedic Regulators; OR
 o Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) from the Ministry of Health AND/OR the Provincial College of Nurses AND/OR Department of Health.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with workers' compensation
 Experience and certification in teaching firstaid, CPR and AED
 Preferred Qualifications:
 
 Job experience as a Military Medic (Canadian Armed Forces)
 
 Certified to teach first aid, CPR, and AED training from the Canadian Red Cross
 
 Proficient in Microsoft Office
 
 Experience with an industrial wellness program

The base salary range for this position is listed below. As a total compensation company, Amazon's package may include other elements such as signon payments and restricted stock units (RSUs).
