Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal care assistance (bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, etc.)
  • Assist with mobility and transfers using proper techniques
  • Support with meal preparation and feeding as needed
  • Administer medication as per care plan
  • Monitor and report changes in client health and behavior
  • Offer companionship and emotional support to clients
  • Maintain accurate records of services provided
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations and policies
  • Qualifications:

  • Valid Personal Support Worker (PSW) Certificate from a recognized Ontario program
  • CPR & First Aid certification (current)
  • Clear Vulnerable Sector Check (police background check)
  • Up-to-date immunizations (TB test, COVID-19 vaccination may be required)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team
  • Reliable transportation (asset for community/home care positions)
