Description:
We are currently seeking Part-Time Personal Support Workers (PSW) for our Home Hemodialysis Program within our Dialysis program. This innovative care model allows patients to receive Renal Care in their community, such as long-term care homes or clients' homes. The PSW will provide dialysis-related care activities under the guidance of Registered Nurses from Regional Renal Program hospitals.
This position offers a $2500 sign-on bonus, great benefits, and a supportive team. Initial training will be provided in Brighton for 21 days.

Main responsibilities:
- Attend initial patient home visits and Hospital orientation.
- Verify equipment before dialysis, follow care plans, and troubleshoot machine issues.
- Respond to emergencies, provide care during treatment, and document patient assessments.
- Ensure cleanliness of work area and equipment, administer medication, and maintain treatment records.
- Plan for emergencies and follow-up with patients as needed.
REQUIREMENTS:
- PSW Certificate and current CPR/First Aid Certificate.
- Valid driver's license, vehicle, and ability to travel.
- Professionalism, accountability, reliability, and excellent attendance record.
- Availability for shifts, computer skills, manual dexterity, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, maintain positive relationships, and act as a patient advocate.
- Flexibility, willingness to travel, and attend meetings as needed.
