Description:

Cambridge Memorial Hospital (CMH) is seeking a Personal Support Worker to provide care for patients and support patient flow within the hospital. The ideal candidate must be registered with the Health and Supporting Care Providers Oversight Authority (HSPCOA) and have a Personal Support Worker (PSW) Certificate. Responsibilities include assisting patients with daily activities, measuring vital signs, and documenting care provided. The position requires working all shifts, including days, nights, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist patients with activities of daily living
  • Measure vital signs and document care provided
  • Communicate effectively with patients, staff, and families
  • Work cooperatively with team members and receive direction from Registered staff
  • Adhere to hospital policies and procedures
  • Skills and Qualifications:

  • PSW Certificate from a recognized college/private career college or school board
  • Registered with HSPCOA
  • Current BCLS certification
  • 2-3 years of experience as a PSW
  • Proficient computer experience and excellent keyboarding skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Dedication to an interdisciplinary team approach
  • Ability to attend work regularly
