They are currently seeking Personal Support Workers (PSWs) in the Belle River, ON area to provide quality care to patients in home and community settings. PSWs play a vital role in promoting independence and supporting daily living activities under the supervision of the Personal Support Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with daily living activities such as personal care, household tasks, respite care, and medication assistance

Promote a safe environment by demonstrating proper body mechanics and home safety

Provide cognitive, social, and emotional support to patients

Prepare nutritious meals and snacks based on care plans

Qualifications:

Desire to make a difference in patients' lives

Exceptional interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Availability for non-traditional hours and weekends

Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and automobile insurance

Certificate as a PSW or related healthcare field

Current vulnerable sector check screening and clear background check

What The Role Involves

Assisting with daily living activities, such as personal care (rise and retire), assistance with household tasks, respite care, medication assistance, special functions
 Promoting a safe environment by demonstrating proper body mechanics, safe transfer techniques, and home safety
 Providing cognitive, social and/or emotional support to the patient
 Preparing nutritious, varied and economical meals and snacks, including special diets, as determined by the care plan, using proper food preparation, storage, and hygiene practices.

 Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
 Availability to work nontraditional hours, such as early morning, evenings, and alternate weekends
 A valid driver's license (G or G2 Classification), access to a reliable vehicle, and proof of automobile insurance
 Valid certificate as a Personal Support Worker, Internationally Trained Nurse, Health Care Aid, Developmental Support Worker, Home Support Worker, or enrollment in a Nursing program
