Description:

Home Care Assistance is seeking 2 female PSWs in the Beaverton area to provide care with varying shift start times from 7am to 10am, Monday to Friday. We are looking for casual individuals available to pick up shifts as needed.

Job Benefits:

  • Competitive pay at $21.00

  • 4-hour shift minimum

    • The successful candidate's areas of responsibility will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Provide personal care
  • House Cleaning and Laundry Daily
  • Providing cognitive, social, emotional, and spiritual support
  • Provide behavioral support and crisis intervention
  • Maintaining open communication with the client and their family
  • Monitoring care plan and adding documentation with any changes and updates
  • Responding to all emergency situations
  • All other duties, as assigned

    • Key qualifications for this position will include, but are not limited to:

  • PSW certification is required
  • Valid First Aid/CPR certificate
  • Completion of a Police Vulnerable Sector Check within the last 6 months
  • CPI training is an asset**
  • Driver's License and own insured vehicle is required**
  • Satisfactory professional references
  • Ability to accurately follow written and verbal instructions
  • Must be able to anticipate problems and use sound judgment and tact in handling confidential matters
