Description:

We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Worker (PSW) to provide exceptional care and support to our father who is returning home after a hospital stay for pneumonia. Your energy, empathy, and attention to detail will be crucial in his recovery and in assisting the family with his care at home.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
  • Help with physiotherapy exercises
  • Accompany on two daily walks using a mobility aid
  • Provide companionship and engage in dialogue
  • Perform light housekeeping tasks and maintain a safe environment
  • Support with mobility aids and transfer techniques to prevent falls
  • Document care activities, observations, and health status changes

    • Skills:

  • Strong understanding of dementia care strategies
  • Effective communication skills for collaborating with family members

    • Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour

    Licence/Certification: PSW certification (preferred)

    Work Location: In person
