Description:

Home Care Assistance is seeking 3 casual PSWs for a group home in Stayner. The ideal candidate must have a CPI blue card and a Broad Sector Check. Flexible scheduling is available, but open availability is preferred.

Job Benefits:

• Pay $21.00 per hour
• Benefits Plan available after working 30+ hours per week
• 4% Vacation Pay on every pay
• Flexible hours

The successful candidate's areas of responsibility will include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and personal care
• Supporting client with physiotherapy exercises
• Providing medication support and management
• Providing cognitive, social, emotional, behavioral, and spiritual support
• Maintaining open communication with client and nurses
• Monitoring care plan and adding detailed documentation
• Responding to emergency situations
• All other duties as assigned

Key qualifications for this position will include, but are not limited to:

• PSW certification from a public college/learning center OR additional NACC certification
• PSW experience of over 2 years
• Access to a reliable vehicle and a valid driver's license
• Valid CPR/First Aid certification
• Completion of a Police Vulnerable Sector Check within the last 6 months
• Broad Sector Check within the last 4 months
• CPI BLUE CARD
• 2 Satisfactory professional references
• Ability to follow instructions accurately
• Must be able to anticipate problems and use sound judgment
