St. Joseph's Healthcare Hamilton is seeking a Personal Support Worker for their Reactivation Care Centre in Dundas. The successful candidate will provide direct quality personal care to patients under the supervision of registered nursing staff. The position is full-time with a competitive hourly rate between $29.46 - $31.81.
Qualifications:
Minimum Grade 12 Education and completion of a Certified Personal Support Worker program
Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification
GPA and CPI certification preferred
Previous PSW/Customer Service experience preferred
Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
Record of good attendance
Responsibilities:
Assist patients with physical, social, psychosocial, and emotional needs
Provide personal care including activities of daily living, hygiene, nutrition, toileting, and transfers
Maintain documentation of patient activities and report changes in condition
Engage with patients in a patient family-centered care approach
Collaborate with patients, families, and the healthcare team
Maintain a positive attitude and support unit initiatives
Participate in Transfer of Accountability at shift changes
Adhere to SJHH policies and procedures, including IPAC and code response policies
