Description:

The Personal Support Worker (PSW) position involves providing care to residents based on their care plans and assisting in identifying resident needs. The PSW is also responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for residents, visitors, and staff members.

What You Will Do

Assist in monitoring care given to residents and report findings to the immediate supervisor.

Document information related to resident care as directed.

Attend in-service education sessions, staff meetings, and workshops.

Assist in onboarding new staff.

Follow IPAC policies and procedures.

What You Bring

Graduate of Personal Support Worker Certificate/Diploma Program.

Meet vocational standards established by the Ministry of Training, Colleges, and Universities.

Knowledge of administering treatments and bedside care to residents.

 Knowledge of procedures and techniques involved in administering simple treatments and related bedside care to residents. Must understand the basics of good sanitation and cleaning techniques and be knowledgeable with respect to the needs of geriatric residents.
