Description:

Nova Scotia Health is looking to fill a Pharmacist position at the Colchester East Hants Health Centre in the Northern Zone. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring safe and effective drug therapy, overseeing drug distribution systems, and providing clinical pharmacy services.

Reporting to the Manager of Clinical Pharmacy Services, the Pharmacist will participate in medical rounds, provide patient counseling, and make therapeutic recommendations to the medical team.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or a Doctor of Pharmacy, completion of a Pharmacy Residency Program, and be eligible for registration with the Nova Scotia Pharmacy Regulator. Strong knowledge of drugs and therapeutics, effective communication skills, and the ability to make timely recommendations regarding drug use are also required. Fluency in French is preferred.

This is a permanent full-time position with 75 hours biweekly. The compensation ranges from $49.42 to $63.29 hourly, and successful candidates may be eligible for a benefits package including health, dental, travel, disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a pension plan.
