As a Plant Healthcare Technician, your main focus will be on fertilizing, treating, and injecting trees and shrubs, providing diagnosis and treatment for various vegetation needs. You will also be responsible for educating clients on your actions in the field.
Job Duties
Complete application of fertilization and integrated pest management on trees and shrubs
Provide exceptional customer service and educate clients on diagnosis and prescribed treatments
Identify trees and shrubs with knowledge of pathology and physiology
Diagnose insects, fungus conditions, and pest prone areas
Monitor plant health quality and communicate progress to customers
Operate equipment and apply treatments on residential and commercial properties
Perform other tree care services when not working on plant health care projects
Qualifications
Pesticide Applicator License required
Valid provincial driver's license
Knowledge of tree and shrub ID, Pathology, and physiology
Background in Forestry, Horticulture, or Landscaping preferred
Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs
Strong tree and shrub identification skills
Ability to work safely as part of a team and willingness to learn
