The Recreation Therapist position in Penetanguishene, ON involves delivering programming, therapy, and support services to residents in accordance with County policies and legislation. The role requires maintaining and enhancing resident programming while ensuring safety and quality care.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate resident programming
Communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary team
Complete resident assessments and care plans
Maintain resident safety practices
Collaborate with the health care team
Support resident activities and council
Participate in committees and other duties as assigned
Work in compliance with health and safety regulations
Maintain confidentiality

Education, Technical Skills, and Certification:
Post-secondary diploma or degree in related field
Enrolled in a diploma or degree program
Various certifications required

Criminal Records Check and TB testing required
Bilingualism in English and French considered an asset
Experience:
1 year in a related role preferred

Some physical effort required, including lifting and assisting residents
