Located in Burlington, ON, this job requires availability on weekdays in the mornings and afternoons. Candidates must have their own car to take clients for outings in the community. The pay rate is $29.25/hr for a 2-hour session, including bonuses and travel fees. Being double vaccinated for Covid-19 is mandatory.
Jackson Therapeutic Recreation offers one-on-one TR services, focusing on helping individuals in the community live fulfilling lives through recreational activities. The schedule is flexible, and employees have access to the JTR Online Learning Centre for additional resources. Strong communication skills, independence, and a passion for Therapeutic Recreation are essential qualities for the successful candidate.
Responsibilities:
- Fulfill recreation staff duties for residents with cognitive impairments, mental health issues, and physical disabilities
- No personal care tasks required
- Meet documentation requirements of the care home
- Build positive relationships with facility staff and client family members
- Deliver services professionally and promptly
