Description:

As a Recreation Therapist II, you will take a leadership role in ensuring that the level of therapeutic recreation practice in your clinical area is evidence-based, patient-and family-centered, and in accordance with policies, procedures, and standards of practice. You will provide clinical leadership to ensure safe and efficient care as well as coordinate the assessment, treatment, education, and care of the patient (client, resident). You will participate in program development to ensure effective delivery of services, including the development of protocols, forms, education, and quality improvement initiatives. You will complete assessment, treatment, education, and management and provide clinical support and consultation. You will collaborate and communicate with the health care team and participate in patient rounds, family conferences, and meetings as related to the client and family. This position includes coordination, client assessment, and program planning support for 3 ADP programs, Didsbury, Airdrie, and Strathmore. The primary worksite is Didsbury, and some occasional travel to the other sites may be required.
