Description:

Humber River Health is seeking a Recreational Therapist to join their Senior's Care team on a part-time basis. The therapist will be responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating individual and group therapeutic programs, supporting social skill development, and collaborating with health professionals. The role also involves recording patient progress, providing supervision to volunteers, and establishing community linkages for patient support post-discharge.

Qualifications for this position include a degree in Therapeutic Recreation or related field, certification as a Therapeutic Recreation Specialist, and at least 1-2 years of experience working with inpatients. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of community services, strong communication skills, leadership abilities, and the capacity to respond to crisis situations.
