The town of Peace River in northwestern Alberta is seeking a Registered Nurse to join their dynamic rural emergency department. The department serves a population of 10,000 and offers a variety of recreational activities. The successful candidate will work closely with physicians and a multidisciplinary team to provide care to patients, with experience in an ER department preferred. Responsibilities include caring for patients from CTAS 1-5 in a stroke, cardiac, and trauma center. A Remote Retention Allowance of up to $3000.00 is available, along with temporary accommodations and relocation assistance.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide a wide variety of nursing services to patients, families, communities, and populations
Utilize nursing processes through critical thinking, problem solving, and decision making
Teach, counsel, and advocate for patients and their families
Support an integrated and holistic approach to patient care, health promotion, and maintenance
Reflect the shared vision and values of AHS
Required Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited nursing education program
Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA)
Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification
Completion of required free courses if not practiced as a Registered Psychiatric Nurse within the past five (5) years
