Unit 35 offers a unique opportunity for a Registered Nurse to provide care on a neurology/stroke and physical rehabilitation unit. Working alongside a team of Nursing and Allied Health professionals, the RN on Unit 35 plays a crucial role in helping patients regain functioning and return home to their families. As an RN, you will provide a wide range of nursing services, ensuring the safety and well-being of patients, families, communities, and populations. You will use critical thinking and decision-making skills, as well as educate, counsel, and advocate for patients and their families. Additionally, you will lead in promoting an integrated and holistic approach to patient care and health maintenance, reflecting the values of AHS.

Key Responsibilities:

Completion of an accredited nursing education program.

Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA).

Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification.

If not practiced as a Registered Nurse within the past five years, completion of CRNA Medication Management and NextGenU Health Assessment Resources Certification courses is required.

Additional qualifications as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with neurology and stroke.

Experience working in rehabilitation.
