The Royal Alexandra Hospital (RAH) in Edmonton is seeking experienced Registered Nurses to work in their Emergency Department, which serves a diverse and vulnerable population. Nurses in this role will provide safe and effective nursing care, utilizing critical thinking and a wide variety of clinical skills. The successful candidate will play a leadership role in patient care, health promotion, and maintenance while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide a wide variety of nursing services to patients, families, communities, and populations
Utilize nursing processes, critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making
Teach, counsel, and advocate on behalf of patients and their families
Support an integrated and holistic approach to patient care and health promotion
Deliver safe, quality patient and family-centered care
Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited nursing education program
Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA)
Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification
Demonstrated excellent assessment, organization, and patient care skills
Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and workloads
Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
Preferred: Minimum 1 year emergency nursing experience within the last two years
