An exciting opportunity exists in AHS, Calgary Zone at the South Health Campus (SHC). The Cardiac Inpatient unit is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to work with General Internal Medicine and Cardiology patients in a modern environment. The RN will collaborate with clinical teams to provide comprehensive care to patients and families.
As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will provide a wide variety of nursing services to patients, families, communities, and populations. You will utilize nursing processes, critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills to ensure patient safety and well-being. Additionally, you will play a leadership role in supporting an integrated and holistic approach to patient care and health promotion.

Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited nursing education program
Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA)
Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification
Minimum 6 months experience on an acute care cardiology unit within the last 2 years or 1 year experience on an acute care medical unit within the last 2 years
Demonstrated proficiency in clinical assessment skills and sound nursing judgment
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to maintain collaborative working relationships with the multidisciplinary team
Demonstrated problem-solving, critical thinking, and conflict resolution skills
High functioning time management and prioritization skills
Bachelor's Degree in nursing preferred
Experience in Cardiology preferred
Current telemetry certification preferred
PVAD & CVAD Certification preferred
Connect Care proficiency preferred
Charge Nurse experience preferred
Experience with family-centered care preferred
Collaborative practice approach and philosophy preferred
N95 Fit Test - Current
