Cornwall Community Hospital (CCH) is seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse to join their team in providing exceptional care for victims of sexual assault and intimate partner violence. The RN will deliver safe, effective, patient-centered care and act as a resource for the care team. This position offers the unique opportunity to work in an advanced field of forensic nursing.

As an RN at CCH, responsibilities include providing emergency health/psychological and forensic care, follow-up healthcare to patients, leadership and training to the nursing team, and outreach to the community. The RN will work in the Emergency Department, responding to ASAP patients as a priority and assisting in ED during surges if needed.

Qualifications:

Current Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario

Certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support

3 years' experience in a sexual assault domestic violence program

Excellent presentation, communication, and public relations skills

Ability to meet the physical demands of the position

Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle

Functional level in both official languages (English and French)

Holds current Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario
 Holds current certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support
 Knowledge and expertise in nursing and demonstrated ability to use nursing knowledge and judgement to provide quality client care
 Completion of Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner training
 3 years' experience in a sexual assault domestic violence program
 Demonstrated recent experience relevant to the area of practice  (Sexual Assault and Intimate Partner Violence)
 Excellent presentation, communication and public relations skills
 Ability to meet the physical demands of the position
 Ability to arrive at the Hospital within 60 minutes of being called
 Computerliterate: able to use Windows, word processing, email, internet
 Demonstrated regular, punctual attendance
 Demonstrated commitment to patient safety
 Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle
 Functional level in both official languages (oral and written in English, oral in French  and testing completed)
