This job posting is for a Registered Nurse position at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital in Nanaimo, BC. The nurse will be responsible for providing direct nursing care to patients in the hospital or community, following unit/program philosophy, competency guidelines, policies, and BCCNM Standards for Nursing Practice in British Columbia.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant.
Recent experience in acute medical/surgical nursing and completion of a basic arrhythmia interpretation course, or equivalent education, skills, and training.
Skills And Abilities
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Demonstrated ability to organize workload and set priorities.
Ability in arrhythmia interpretation, evidenced by completion of a VIHA Basic Arrhythmia course within the past year or a mark of 75% on the VIHA ECG Challenge Exam.
Effective communication with internal and external contacts, including co-workers, physicians, community agency representatives, patients, residents, and families.
